Finally, the North of England has some decent rueda/timba stuff going on...
Amigos de Rueda is a monthly rueda class open to all, beginners and likewise with the first night starting NEXT WEEK!!!

Here's the timetable:
7.30-8.30 Beginners rueda (salsa timing assumed, no specific rueda experience)
8.30-9.30 Intermediate (Basic rueda moves assumed)
9.30-11.00 social dancing [free]

Introductory price £2 per lesson waged, £1 unwaged

Carnaval Cubana, London 2008

Need something to look forward to as the post-Christmas/New Year blues approaches?

The famous Carnaval de Cuba is coming back in June- dates are 14 and 15 June 2008 (unconfirmed as yet)
It's one not to miss with guaranteed live Cuban bands, food, dance classes and shows. Last year it was Pedro Calvo with Sur Caribe (and more that I missed) and it's all for FREE. No pennies. Nada. Yay!
